Run by Owen Holt and Gavin Kranz, two DeKalb High School students who started WorkHorse in September 2026. We show up on time, do all the heavy lifting, and haul it off in our dump trailer.

How it works
Text a picture of what needs to go, or just tell us what it is and where it's sitting.
We send you a free quote up front. You'll know the cost before we lift a thing.
We carry it out, load the trailer, and sweep the spot clean before we leave.
Junk like this in your backyard?
We haul with a pickup and a tandem-axle dump trailer, so big loads aren't a problem. Old furniture, rolled-up fencing, mattresses, broken equipment: if it fits in the trailer, it's gone.

Questions
We're in class during the school day, so we work weekday evenings and weekends. Text us and we'll find a time that fits your schedule.
No. We'll get it from the basement, the attic, the back of the garage, or wherever it's sitting. You just show us where.
Yes. One recliner or one old dresser is worth the trip.
Anything still usable, we try to donate. Metal gets recycled when we can. Everything else goes to proper disposal.
About us
WorkHorse Junk Removal is Owen Holt and Gavin Kranz, two students at DeKalb High School in Waterloo. We started the business in September 2026.
The idea was simple. Almost everyone around here has something they need gone: an old couch in the basement, a garage that's been full for years, a brush pile behind the shed. Getting rid of it yourself means borrowing a truck, finding someone to help lift, and giving up a Saturday. We figured we could be that help.
We picked the name WorkHorse because a workhorse is the one you can count on to pull its weight every day. That's the kind of crew we want to be for our neighbors.
In a town the size of Waterloo, our name is our reputation, so we treat every job like it matters. When you hire us, you're also backing a local business run by two students who are learning how to work hard and earn it.
